- Do more of what makes you feel good.
This year, try to make time for the things in your life that make you feel at home and comfortable in yourself and your environment. Whether that’s something small like listening to more music, or something big like learning a new instrument, spending time on something that brings you joy is going to make you feel much better about yourself and generally more productive.
You could choose to go for more walks, practice yoga, dedicate time towards painting, or just make time to FaceTime friends more often. Small activities that align with your interests are going to bring more you happiness overall in 2022.
- Go back to the beginning.
Remember what your passion is. Sometimes we need a reset, as we get caught up in the small details and complications that come to us throughout the year. Take the new year to reset your mind and refocus on what your goals are. Whether your goals are personal, work-related, financial, or health-related, take some time to reflect on what you can do this new year to work towards achieving those goals.
- Spend more time moving your body.
One of the most common New Year’s resolutions is to “exercise more.” When saying this, you might think of spending money on new workout gear and a gym membership, then hitting the gym daily. However, exercise doesn’t have to look a certain way!
Exercise doesn’t have to result in weight loss or muscle gain – it’s a great way to keep your body and mind active so that you have the ability to fuel yourself for the day. Even light exercise, such as stretching in the morning, is proven to help you stay alert and keep your brain in tip-top shape.
