World-famous artists are making their marks once again and drawing inspiration from all over to create stunning and perplexing pieces. From jaw-dropping sculptures to thought-provoking paintings, these exhibitions are sure to inspire, entertain, and amaze.

Antony Gormley’s “GROUND”, Museum Voorlinden in Wassenaar, the Netherlands

Invited to take over the galleries and grounds of the Voorlinden Museum in the Netherlands for the duration of the summer, 1994 Turner Prize winner Sir Antony Gormley is determined to continue his legacy of creating innovative works of art for all eyes to see. This time around, the sculptor is going over his vast collection of past work for inspiration and even showcasing some of said past work, such as Open Door, a 1975 sculpture of a wooden door suspended in mid-air, and lead sculptures of human bodies posing in an array of different postures and positions. Additionally, several pieces from the Voorlinden Museum's collection are also on display.

Rashid Johnson’s “Sodade”, Hauser & Wirth in Menorca, Spain

Effectively encapsulating curator Thelma Golden’s contemporary “post-Black” idea in the Studio Museum in Harlem’s seminal 2001 exhibition “Freestyle,” Rashid Johnson uses his experience as an African-American to explore diverse and unique art forms. From sculpting to film-making, Johnson has shown the world that he is truly a formidable force of creativity and passion. Johnson’s solo show at Hauser & Wirth Menorca features paintings from his Anxious Men series, as well as paintings and bronze sculptures from his new Seascapes project.

Jeff Koons’ “Apollo”, DESTE Foundation Project Space in Hydra, Greece

Jeff Koons is an artist who always seems to be making headlines. His latest exhibition, "Apollo," is no exception. This time around, the artist is using his time on Hydra, a Greek island, to honour Apollo, the Olympian god of arts. The centrepiece of the show is a 45-foot high, motorized Apollo Wind Spinner. As always, Koons' work is sure to provoke thought and generate conversation. The fact that this sculpture has received the most likes and shares on social media this summer doesn’t come as a surprise, as the gorgeous landscape and enchanting colours bring this piece to new heights of brilliance and beauty.
